Rosa Elena Vince D.C.
I graduated from Palmer West College in 1988 and have been serving chiropractic for 34 years, in the Montecito Plaza located in San Rafael, CA.
My path into chiropractic is one of great passions. My dedication and motivation to improve people's well-being stems from the monumental difference chiropractic has made in my family and my life since childhood.
When I was 11 years old, chiropractic saved my mother's life. She suffered from severe and debilitating migraines, sciatica, low back pain, and depression, which made it difficult to function day to day and raise a family. She turned, like so many, to prescription drugs, that not only did not take the pain away but decreased her mental clarity and ability to function. It was a tremendous effort to get out of bed. She discovered upper cervical chiropractic care, 1 hour and 45 minutes from our hometown. The drive was well worth it. She began to heal, and her life and health were restored. I soon began care at age 11. I had suffered from a weakened immune system resulting in asthma, allergies, and constant ear infections, in which 10 years of antibiotics and inhalers only gave me temporary relief while weakening my immune function further. After starting upper cervical care, my healing began, and I was able to get off the medications and allow my body to start healing naturally from the inside out. I continually see incredible results, such as these and more in my practice daily. Our bodies are self-healing and self-regulating. They were created to be able to restore and maintain health from the inside out.
My family lives a chiropractic lifestyle, and we are committed to sharing this possibility with others. My son Powell, and my daughter, Dr. Madison, now both in their late 20’s, have been under chiropractic care since birth. As a result, they have grown up expressing great health naturally from the inside out.
I am passionate about serving chiropractic, and sharing chiropractic, so that as many people as possible can express their true health potential and live a more fulfilling life.

Marlon Altan D.C.
I graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in 2023 with magna cum laude academic honors and bronze medal clinic honors.
I carried this momentum over to Montecito Chiropractic in April of 2024.
My exposure and interest in chiropractic began in 2000 when my mother was in a serious car accident that left her in incredible pain and with very limited range of motion in her neck. The medical doctors prescribed her medication, gave her a neck brace and told her she would most likely need surgery if symptoms were not resolved. By what seemed like divine grace, my sister had just befriended a chiropractor who suggested my mom come in to start chiropractic care. Within six weeks, she regained her normal range of motion in her neck and her pain symptoms had drastically subsided. After 8 weeks of treatment, she was back at work. I also witnessed how chiropractic care brought ease to my father during his last months of life as he was passing from terminal cancer.
Ever since I was in undergraduate, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in service. Having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Political Science, I pursued a career in education which I was committed to for 15+ years. After doing some self-reflection, I decided to re-enroll in school in 2020 and commence my journey of becoming a chiropractor.
Upper Cervical chiropractic piqued my interest while in school. The specificity and outcomes of the upper cervical adjustment continues to amaze and inspire me to hone my skills daily. The best thing about being an upper cervical chiropractor is witnessing the body’s amazing ability to auto-correct when the C1 Atlas subluxation is removed. I am grateful for the opportunity to be an upper cervical chiropractor.
