Dr. Elena Vince
My path into chiropractic is one of great passion. My dedication and motivation to improve people’s well being stems from the monumental difference chiropractic has made in my family's and my life since childhood.
When I was 11 years old, chiropractic saved my mother's life. She suffered from severe and debilitating migrains, sciatica, low back pain, depression, which made it difficult to function day to day and raise a family. She turned, like so many, to prescription drugs, that not only did not take the pain away but decreased her mental clarity and ability to function. It was tremendous effort to get out of bed. She discovered upper cervical chiropractic care, 1 hour and 45 minutes away from our home town. The drive was well worth it. She began to heal and her life and health was restored. I soon began care at age 11. I had suffered from a weakened immune system resulting in asthma, allergies, and constant ear infections, in which 10 years of antibiotics and inhalers only gave me temporary relief, while weakening my immune function further. After starting upper cervical care, my healing began and I was able to get off the medications and allow my body to start healing naturally from the inside out. I continually see incredible results, such as these and more in my practice daily. Our bodies are self-healing and self-regulating.. They were created to be able restore and maintain health from the inside out.
My family lives a chiropractic lifestyle and we are committed to sharing this possibility with others. My husband Tony owns and operates a chiropractic software company. My son Powell, 16 years old, and my daughter Madison, 14years old, have been under chiropractic care since birth. As a result they have grown up expressing great health and have never had a drug in their body.
I am passionate about serving chiropractic, and sharing chiropractic, so that as many people can express their true health potential, and live a more fulfilling life.
Dr. Monica Egan
I am Dr. Monica Egan;⁞ I was born in San Francisco and raised in Marin. After I received my bachelor’s degree, I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Graduated in Feb 2010 and have been serving chiropractic for 3 years.
Chiropractic changed my life and gave me the chance to be the best me I can be. I was introduced to chiropractic when I was 12 years old by my brother who is today a chiropractor himself. I was in an auto accident and if it wasn’t for chiropractic I don't know where I would be today. I had so much pain in my neck and low back that I couldn't do any activity even for a short period of time, like driving, sitting, standing, sleeping, etc. I started to get frequent migraines and I was exhausted all of the time. I noticed that my mood was dramatically affected and I was irritated and frustrated from all the pain and discomfort. After I started to receive consistent chiropractic care my whole life was changed for the better. My pain, discomfort, and migraines were gone and as I continued with care I noticed improvements in my mood, attitude, sleep, activity level, energy level. What came to a surprise to me was that I noticed that I was doing better in school. Reading, writing, math all became somewhat more natural for me. I didn’t realize that it was all connected to a properly functioning and working nervous system. I knew that chiropractic was how I wanted to serve my community to make a long lasting difference in people's lives. It truly changed my life and helped me to reach my true health potential.
I have always had a passion for helping others and educating others on ways to improve their quality of life. I have been practicing with many top Chiropractors for and found the home for my practice in Montecito Chiropractic Center. I specialize in the Blair upper cervical technique and also utilize the Palmer package of techniques. I am very active in the community helping with youth programs and community our reach programs to motivate and educate.
I want to give back what chiropractic has given to me. It is my passion and honor to be of service through chiropractic.
Mariella
My name is Mariella. I have been with our Chiropractic team here at Montecito for just under a year and have been blessed with this life changing opportunity.
I have a background in both the allopathic medical field and the homeopathic/holistic medical field. I have had the fortune of having been trained and exposed to both schools of thought and have always leaned much more toward the holistic side. Given the broad spectrum of information and experience available to me it was so natural to completely embrace the Chiropractic life.
I have vast experience with insurance billing and basic office management, but it’s the true connection that we make with our patients that makes this such a great fit for me. I can, however, help you with all your insurance questions!
I have returned to Sonoma/Marin County after living in Mexico for about 9 years. There I owned and ran a full service restaurant and taught English at the local grammar and Jr. High School. It truly was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, but I am happy to be home!
Before coming to Montecito Chiropractic I had, sadly like many, only experienced Chiropractic as a means to alleviate neck or back pain from an auto accident. I thought I was in very good physical condition and in very good health. I loved to hike, white water kayak and wakeboard. I had been doing it for as long as I could remember. Then one day I did one wrong pose in yoga and my world came crashing down. I was so completely debilitated that not only was I afraid that I would never hike again much less kayak or wakeboard, but that I may actually not be able to work! I had years of damage that I wasn’t even aware of, and even though the injury was by no means a “big” injury, it was enough to topple my house of cards that I thought was my superb physical condition.
After only a few months of care not only am I back to doing all of my normal activities but also my energy is soaring. My general outlook on life is so positive because I feel so good, physically, emotionally, and mentally. I feel more alert and alive than I have in years. I am so blessed to be able to share this gift and be around the incredibly positive and uplifting energy that I am surrounded by daily through our amazing Chiropractic team, and more importantly, through our incredible patients.
My name is Estefanie. I am the newest member of Montecito Chiropractic and so far working as Dr. Vince and Dr. Egan’s chiropractic assistant has been such a wonderful experience. The patients that I have met and see everyday have become so special to me in my life.
I grew up in Petaluma and still live there now. I graduated from Casa Grande High school and went to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles 2 weeks after I graduated high school. I attended that college with the intention of becoming an event planner and eventually working as a PR agent. After a couple of years of pursuing that field as a career I felt that I needed a change. A big change, something that was completely different from what I ever imagined myself doing.
As I was trying to figure out what that change would be, I considered many things including, going back to school, or just finding a different job. That’s when I found Dr. Elena and Dr. Egan. I thought I would try out the field of chiropractic considering the fact that since I can remember I have been extremely interested in the body and how it works.
Although I’m only starting out in chiropractic, it has already changed my life in a pretty major way. Before I became educated in chiropractic I thought I was in good health. I thought that the problems I did have were “normal” and soon came to find that they absolutely are not. I learned that what I thought was good health was only a false state of health. As soon as I started getting adjusted, I noticed major changes in my health. I noticed that issues that I’ve had as a child have started to disappear. My entire Family has benefitted from chiropractic. My mother’s debilitating migraines are completely under control and have almost vanished for the first time in years and years. My father’s need for constant medical attention has diminished, and my sister’s athleticism is better than ever.
I come to work every single day excited to hear about how the patients have benefited from chiropractic and how its changed their lives as well. It's my favorite part of the job, seeing first hand peoples' health getting better and seeing them so excited to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
